Kids, how?

[edit]

"Polis is one of the few openly gay people elected"

"Polis and his partner, Marlon Reis, have two children: son Caspian Julius, born on September 30, 2011, and daughter Cora Barucha, born July 4, 2014."

How is it possible? I mean, if he is a gay (so his partner is also a man), then who was the mother of the kids? 85.67.253.118 (talk) 09:08, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously? ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:24, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. The question remains. Who is the mother? Or if, as is most likely, there was some kind of payout and then a Non Disclosure Agreement focused on the surrender of that woman's children to Polis, is there any kind of knowledge or documentation of that transaction?. Because a transaction it certainly was. 2601:282:1E81:A9B0:2149:1E40:7471:1A11 (talk) 08:05, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
They didn’t “have”, language which, until I read this article, meant “produced together through sex resulting in pregnancy and birth.” Every gay male couple I know with children adopted them. Stop altering the meaning of words - it’s Orwellian. 2600:8805:3804:F500:F0AB:AA20:D975:D706 (talk) 01:08, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
What word would you prefer? Every person I know who has adopted children says something like "I have three kids." They don't use some special made-up word. Joyous! Noise! 02:03, 1 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Gun control

[edit]

Shouldn't we mention Polis's stance on gun control? He signed four gun control measures into law in 2023. 98.123.38.211 (talk) 22:06, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
