Anti-Semitism Accusations

Very surprised that the article does not feature that Formby was one of the main culprits responsible for hiding anti-semitism in the Labour Party as featured in the BBC Panorama. Special:Contributions/46.208.113.234

There is very little antisemitism in Labour according to surveys, though many oppose Israeli oppression of the Palestinians. Formby has led the expansion and acceleration of disciplinary processes into the issue. Dozens of members have been expelled or resigned. Nothing has been hidden. The Panorama programme was made by political opponents and has been challenged for inaccuracy and bias e.g. "The Panorama programme was not a fair or balanced investigation. It was a seriously inaccurate, politically one-sided polemic, which breached basic journalistic standards, invented quotes and edited emails to change their meaning. It was an overtly biased intervention by the BBC in party political controversy. An honest investigation into antisemitism in Labour and wider society is in the public interest. Kevin Schofield was a political editor working for News International and has published numerous editorials against Labour and its current leader Jeremy Corbyn. The Politics Home site was founded by the Lord Ashcroft, former deputy chairman of the Conservative Party and one of its largest donors. When such people say their political opponents have been misrepresented, then usually this is a strong indication that that is the case. SFB 18:44, 21 September 2019 (UTC)

The quote challenging the programme came from the Labour Party. Almost everyone involved in the Panorama programme has a record of hostility to the party leadership. Jontel (talk) 20:27, 21 September 2019 (UTC)

Among the allegations from whistleblowers were claims that key aides, including the director of communications, Seumas Milne, and the general secretary, Jennie Formby, interfered with investigations.

Formby has been accused by the Jewish Labour Movement of helping to cover up anti-Semitism in the Labour Party, defending ex Labour members whom have been banned due to it and attacking those in the party, such as Tom Watson for trying to uncover and get to bottom of the matter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.130.158 (talk) 20:09, 9 March 2020 (UTC)
