Daily Mail sources[edit]

Added two Daily Mail sources. Generally considered unreliable, but I added them as they are both opinion pieces from respected voice Nasser Hussain. Really it is Nasser Hussain that is the source here, not the Mail. Used sources to show opinions of the media rather than report actual "facts".

The wickets column mention LOADS while in actuality it is zero as he has never bowled (Source: http://www.cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/90/90667/90667.html)

I have done other discrepancies.

Someone add the West Indies[edit]

I feel that we need to have a more up to date page- like the West Indies tour. If people delete the information that other people write, then why don’t they write the articles themselves, since if they cite not diary, then word it themselves. And they need explain it themselves, because of they think that others work is not good, then word it how you think it should be, because if it wasn’t for me then the ashes would be left out, which is very important And with such articles like Joe Root, they do not have the information they need to can someone like Spike ‘em who deleted information from others edit the articles and update them, with Root’s record breaking year of 2021. Thanks for reading, A cricket lover 2A00:23C4:F419:9F00:7457:15C0:CAF1:104F (talk) 21:42, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Text like Bairstow, after having good form in The Ashes, got picked for the tour of the West Indies. It was a crucial tour. In the first innings Bairstow came to the crease at the score being 4-48 and England posted 311 with him scoring 140 in an incredibly important innings which helped save the match for England. goes against all of NPOV / NOR / V and is grammatically very poor. Rewrite it in proper, balanced English and add some sources. Spike 'em (talk) 22:16, 15 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And not saying it is your fault, but there is too much addition of context-free snippets about individual matches in many cricket articles. This just reads as a bloated list of : "he did this, and then he did that, and then he did something else" without explaining why any of it is important. The article should summarise his career, making note of any particularly important matches / series. I've made a start at cutting down some of this at Joe Root, but there is so much unstructured chaff that it will take a while. Spike 'em (talk) 11:08, 17 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war[edit]

Welcome back mystery IP editor. Discuss changes here rather than edit warring. You seem to be on 4 sets of edits within 24 hours, so i'd suggest you need your own 3RR warning. Spike 'em (talk) 21:47, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

you are now on at least 5 reverts. Please see WP:BRD and discuss exact changes here rather than trying to bludgeon your preferred version. I'm not going to discuss this anywhere other than here from now on. Spike 'em (talk) 21:56, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
