@Immanuelle: one for you? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 14:59, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Curb Safe Charmer I am a member of the fandom but I’ve never worked on this page. What was your suggestion? Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 16:29, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Curb Safe Charmer would Kemono Friends be worth mentioning on the page? Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 14:13, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Comment from AfC

[edit]

From AfC page: Completed untranslated word "一説によれば(it is sometimes claimed that)". As Inokuchi (2013) notes, the term was introduced into manga doujin culture in the 1990s, and there is no strong evidence for the historical accuracy of the passages you mention. Source 2 and 3 are articles about the start of the "Kemono Project" written by Famitsu and CyberConnect2. The Famitsu article quotes Hiroshi Matsuyama as saying, "According to Internet rumors, it was CyberConnect2 that popularized the term Kemonā," and the CyberConnect2 article states, "Although the truth is not known, the theory that the term 'Kemonā' was invented by CyberConnect2 became widespread on the Internet after the release of ".hack//G.U.". Sources 1 and 6 are those that adequately address the topic itself, and most of the writing in this article is based on these two sources.--Nux-vomica 1007 (talk) 04:49, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Image

[edit]

Surely we can do better than AI porn 203.211.79.75 (talk) 14:24, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The impediment is that we need a free image of a modern, animal-majority, manga-style furry character, which from a six-minute search doesn't exist yet on the Commons.
I do agree having a human-made kemono image would have encyclopaedic merit, to represent the Kemonā fandom and such. Kaasterly (talk) 15:45, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
