Hey, @BostonMensa, I'm a little concerned that this is pretty close to a BLP1E. I get that we can argue both the nom and the controversy, but we don't usually create an article if someone's just nommed for a Beard Award. Given that the whole thing is about the controversy, is this maybe too negative for a BLP? Valereee (talk) 22:32, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've opened a section at Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard#Kim_Bartmann. Valereee (talk) 22:40, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t know what you are talking about. I know who but not What. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BostonMensa (talkcontribs)
She was nominated for a prestigious award, a James Beard. Winning that award would be a reasonable argument for notability. But before she was nominated, she (her company?) apparently was seen as not dealing well with her employees, and when she was nominated, people in the MN restaurant industry called out the nomination. What I'm worried about is that this isn't actually a notable person, and that because of that maybe we shouldn't have an article that is primarily negative.
