Nationality is still specified as "East Germany". Meant is probably the former "German Democratic Republic" (DDR): the flag icon is from the DDR. But obviously the DDR no longer exists and fromerv DDR-citizen are now citizens of the reunited Federal Gepublic of Germany (Bundesrepublik Deutschland).
