Clarification needed on several things

[edit]

The first paragraph states: Before pursuing a career in professional wrestling, Hennig became the Minnesota State High School Heavyweight Champion from Robbinsdale, Minnesota in 1954. He was awarded a scholarship from the University of Minnesota to wrestle and play football but had to quit due to the priorities of family and raising children.

The chronology here does not make sense. First, this would make him a 21 or 22 year old high school student. While not impossible, I would think it to be improbable. Second, the article mentions no children other than Curt, who was born in 1958. Further explanation may be necessary as to the whens and whys here.

Continuing on, regarding Hennig and Harley Race winning the AWA tag titles: ...to capture the AWA World Tag Team Championship, becoming, at the time, the youngest tag team champions ever.

Based upon the birthdate given, the two were born over a decade apart. Race may have been the youngest person to hold part of a tag team championship, but I can't see how that statement applies to both of them. I'm sure it would be pretty easy to prove it wrong; the statement is unsourced, at any rate.

Before Larry's retirement in 1985, however, the Hennigs would win the NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team Championship.

I'm pretty sure that the two teamed together in PNW in 1983, not 1985.

Hennig shared a few words with USA Today regarding premature deaths in professional wrestling, and the friendship of Mark Linn-Baker and Larry Sweeney.

Just from glancing over the paragraph in general, it's not clear to me whether these friendships were with Larry Hennig or with Curt Hennig.

Also, I had an issue regarding the photo and accompanying caption. While I would hope that readers have enough common sense to think otherwise, it's quite possible to infer from the photo that Larry Hennig was working at the Domino's Pizza.RadioKAOS (talk) 10:23, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
