This page doesn't talk about cousins, uncles, aunts, etc. . In short, it's incomplete.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Yangon (talk • contribs) 15:04, June 10, 2009
This page only shows Abraham Lincoln's descendants so the title may need to renamed or add cousins, etc. life Yangon spoke of. Also, the page lists Timothy Lincoln Beckwith, who is still alive though the paternity is questioned. It just seems odd that the tree shows Timothy but the text says the line is extinct - appears contradictory without an explanation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tonymaycpa (talk • contribs) 21:30, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Obviously it making me confused by looking the picture, it needed to rearrange again instead of giving us an cross-eye. ~Mitchal~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.56.56.62 (talk) 17:49, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
After the President Lincoln's generation the connecting line (between him and his wife and their sons) is missing. I tried to fix it but I don't know how it's done. Also, why is the table hidden by default? It's not that big and it's in a page where the's literally nothing else. It's like going to a Wiki page where you have to click again to see the intended content. Kumagoro-42 04:19, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
I met a doctor named Tom Lincoln. I was told by my father he is a relative of Abe but have never seen him in listing. If he is still around, he would be in late 80s or early perhaps as old as mid 90s. --Jrm2007 (talk) 00:44, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If actually related to the president, the person you describe would have to be a distant cousin from Lincoln's father's family. None of Abraham Lincoln's direct descendents were physicians, and his last direct relative (a great-grandson) died in 1985 without children. —ADavidB04:58, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
On February 29, 2000, Wheel of Fortune had a contestant on named Abe Lincoln, who told the show he was actually a distant relative of the former President. A Google search does not provide any additional info, so does anyone know anything about this man? I'd imagine his claim has some merit since I doubt Wheel would make mention of that if he wasn't-RomeW (talk)
This "Abe" might be descended from some of the former president's own ancestors, but not the president himself, whose last confirmed descendant died in 1985. A son of that descendant's second wife, considered to be otherwise unrelated, is named Timothy. Wheel of Fortune is interested in ratings, and I think they'd broadcast a contestant's perhaps exaggerated claims for such a reason. There are people descended from President Lincoln's ancestors, however. —ADavidB12:30, 3 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This article is all wrong! Soloman Hanks brother of Thomas Hanks and son of Joshua hanks Born 1833 died in 1917. Joshua Hanks born 1789 died 1874 was the Son of Joseph Hanks brother of Nancy Hanks lincoln. Soloman Hanks is my 3rd great grandfather and Joseph is my 5th great grandfather. Nancy Hanks lincoln is my 5th great Aunt. I have all the information to back this all up my great grandma Cordiella Hanks was the daughter of Albert ellsworth hanks and Ava litsey neal Albert is the son of Ellsworth hanks and Ellsworth hanks is the son of Soloman hanks. Soloman died in the care of my 4th great Aunt J.f Linenweber Soloman was married to mary hanks. Soloman was the last known living 1st cousin to Abraham lincoln his brother Thomas Hanks died shortly after Soloman. My 3rd great Grandfather Soloman was really good friends with the lincoln family besides being related. So with this being said Abraham lincoln is my 5th cousin therefore there are still living decendants of abraham lincoln. Bobby A. 2600:387:F:4115:0:0:0:C (talk) 21:37, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It sounds like you'd be a descendant of a Lincoln ancestor, not a descendant of President Lincoln himself. Unpublished family records are not considered reliable sources for Wikipedia content. —ADavidB04:12, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
