Qing dynasty

[edit]

Nurhaci and Hong Taiji should be added, and we should stick with the biological relations in the Succession box. Ignore the "adoptions" 5.12.116.130 (talk) 5.12.116.130 (talk) 17:21, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed with the biological relations, an oversight on my part. However, the inclusion of Nurhaci and Hong Taiji makes little sense. Neither was a ruler of the entirety of China, and that section is not merely a recreation of List of emperors of the Qing dynasty. You'll see in the Shunzhi Emperor's infobox he is preceded by Hong Taiji as the Emperor of the Qing dynasty, but preceded by the Chongzhen Emperor in the Emperor of China section. Daughter of Emperor Xiaoming

[edit]

Why is she not added? She was after Emperor Xiaoming. #bodyContent aFlag Creator { background-color: #ffa500; color: #ggggggg; font-weight: monoscope; } 10:10, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Also, by the way sorry for the codes I've done. I tried to make a signature. It's unchecked. If anything's wrong Please inform me. #bodyContent aFlag Creator { background-color: #ffa500; color: #ggggggg; font-weight: monoscope; } 10:11, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We could possibly include her and format her like other contest rulers, but we would need reliable academic sources to assert that she fits that categorization. She does not appear listed as a ruler for any of the sources in the Northern Wei section. Aza24 (talk) 17:34, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion

[edit]

Hi Double sharp, I'm just going off the article on Emperor Taizong of Tang. Isn't an unspecified "expansion" a better idea? I'd consider Emperor Taizong of Tang#Goguryeo-Tang War an eastward expansion. Thoughts? soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 04:25, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Soetermans: I'd be fine with an unspecified "expansion", since the Tang campaign against the Eastern Turks could well be considered a northward expansion. But I'll point out here that as the article you linked to says, Tang Taizong had to withdraw from Goguryeo. Only under Tang Gaozong did Goguryeo fall. Double sharp (talk) 04:43, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Changed to "territorial expansion". Double sharp (talk) 04:43, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, that works! soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 09:31, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
