Does this really need its own page? There was no vote. Surely this can be covered in the Gillard and Rudd pages or possibly some Gillard/Rudd rivalry page. Tigerman2005 (talk) 03:24, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I think it really does - it's a fairly crucial part of the story of the Rudd-Gillard wars, and that isn't diminished by the fact that it failed. It's especially timely in that it bears a lot of resemblance to what looks like happening with the LP this week, a connection which isn't and won't get missed by the press. The event might be of note in the overall story (I agree) but on its own I don't think there is a need for a stand alone article. I just think it could be easily folded in to another article. As it is there is basically 2 lines of information. Crean called a spill motion. Nobody nominated so Gillard stayed on as PM. As I suggested perhaps a Rudd-Gillard conflict page might be a goer.
