WikiProject reassessment

[edit]

I reassessed this article as Stub class, downgraded from Start class, because WP:STUBDEF indicates an article of 250 to 300 words, or 10 sentences, can still be a STUB, if it contains minimal information. In this case, there are less than 100 words and only 3 meaningful sentences of readable prose. The article also has Stub tags. The LEAD section and SECTION headings, as well as the navigation box are welcome cosmetic improvements, but barely disguise the fact that all this article really provides the reader is the date, location, and a reported death toll, which is not attributed to an official source. Reading the headlines for the 3 cited sources tells me as much, and I need to read the sources to find out anything more. Afghan police only say 5 were killed, and the article does not explain this discrepancy, although the sources do provide these details, as well as a count of the wounded. Before assessing this article as a Start-class article, I would like to see enough information in the article to complete, not just start, an informative infobox. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 21:59, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
