Syllables

[edit]

The article currently says, In modernizing hymn texts the use of "Jesu" or "Jesus" could cause problems where the metre only allowed two syllables, "Je-su".

What is this supposed to mean? "Jesu" and "Jesus" both have exactly two syllables. The footnote attached to this sentence doesn't clearly explain the situation, either. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 05:19, 15 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
