Merge from Two-Double-Seven

[edit]

The Two-Double-Seven article was marked for speedy deletion earlier today, but another editor changed the speedy delete to a prod. It appears that individual shopping malls are marginal in terms of having their own articles in Wikipedia. I suggest merging the article into this one as a compromise.-gadfium 23:40, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd disagree "with a marginal in general" statement. Generally, I vote for these articles (individual shopping centres) to stay as they are. They may be prosaic in many ways, but they are certainly a major feature in the lives of many people working and shopping there. However, until more data is added, I'd not oppose a merge, and to turn this into a redirect. MadMaxDog 01:48, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I fully support a merge, as the mall article in its current state does not have sufficient information to warrant an independent article. According to WP:CORP, a business is notable enough for its own article, "If the organization has been the subject of multiple non-trivial, reliable published works whose source is independent of the organization itself." The Two-Double-Seven article doesn't have anything even close to that, so until/unless such sources can be provided, the information should be merged. If sources become available later, a separate article can be easily re-established. --Elonka 22:34, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
From what I've seen I suspect every single westfield shopping centre was tagged for speedy deletion, with a lot of them being deleted. Currently a bunch of them are listed on Deletion Review. I'm certain sources out there exist for them. Mathmo Talk 16:07, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've corrected the link to Deletion Review above.-gadfium 19:27, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
