Untitled[edit]
Maybe there should also be an entry about Odile Chevalier.
A lot of mistakes and inexact informations in this article. Look up in a real encyclopedy!
Should be two separate articles[edit]
This article seems to be about two separate people, one of whom seems not even to be called 'Odile' as the main name. I suggest splitting it accordingly. Any objections? Feline Hymnic (talk) 19:52, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- Not in the least. I've been meaning to do it myself for some time, but never seem to get around to it. Thanks for reminding me, incidentally - I may get to it before you. :-) --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 21:56, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. It will probably better if you do it. I don't know anything about these people, so I would probably get it wrong. Nor am I familiar with the conventions around WP naming of saints, so I would probably get the titles wrong too. Feline Hymnic (talk) 22:22, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
I've done it. I've also renamed this article to the fuller 'Odile of Alsace', because that seems to be a common format for many saints' pages, and it helps disambiguate the two saints. Feline Hymnic (talk) 20:00, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Please cite sources[edit]
Most of the text seems to narrate a legend, but it's not indicated as such, nor is any source mentioned. As the list of external links looks quite complete, I guess those are the sources. It would be nice if maybe the original author would connect the text with its sources. Right now the whole thing hangs in the air, more so as other languages' Wikipedia articles give different accounts.
Ah yes: would it be useful to add a list of places where she is venerated? I could translate it from the German article.--Geke (talk) 11:50, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
