Panjshir Avalanche

[edit]

I guess this article might get expanded to include some mention of the 187+ dead in the recent avalanche(s) bbc. But there doesn't seem to be a geography section to this article yet? this pdf might be a starting point ? EdwardLane (talk) 09:37, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

2021 Taliban offensive

[edit]

Should a section be added here that right now, this is the only province that is not under the Taliban control?

No because it is still ongoing issue and perhaps in near future taliban will take over this too. Tayyabk52 (talk) 18:49, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

They section on the Etymology of the word “panjshir” is a very vague and has no bases to be there, the citation does not provide evidence at all for it therefore it should be taken of completely. Alternatively, emphasising that the possible etymology provided is not definitive or well grounded enough could also work. Edenhet (talk) 23:45, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 23:50, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox "Control"

[edit]

I'm really not sure why the Taliban/IEA and Emirate flag are now included in the infobox: the IEA have no control or presence in the province, and their flag has never been flown there, to the best of my knowledge. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 17:17, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

According to the demographics section:

All inhabitants are followers of Islam, and exclusively Sunni.

The overwhelming majority, sure. But all? Exclusively? Seems dubious, or at least extremely difficult to verify. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:3EC7:4150:8C97:EBB8:8EC2:5D73 (talk) 10:40, 28 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

List of notable people

[edit]

Should the adjective "powerful" be removed from Hasib Qoway Markaz to make it more objective? Just saying that he is a military leader should be sufficient.

The deputy governor of panjshir has been changed The new deputy or director of panjshir as Ahmad Shayeq Fedai
