Categories

[edit]

I've removed Category:Towns in Malaysia because there's already a more refined category named Category:Towns in Sabah. The latter category itself is placed under the former and listing both of them is redundant. If we are to list both category, then we should put Category:Towns, etc too; making it absurd. __earth (Talk) 03:43, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article

[edit]

im not sure how the article should be written. as Penampang district, or town? the main town in Penampang is Donggongon and Putatan. Many "towns" in Sabah actually is located in the district of the same name, eg: Tuaran, Kota Belud, Beluran, Tawau, etc. and even in Peninsular, eg: Tumpat, Kota Tinggi, Raub, etc. So far i see only Johor Bahru having separate articles for the district and the city.

for now, i dont think there should be separate articles, what do others think? if u see from most these articles it is written: "XX is a town and a district in yy,...". but problem may arise if for eg: see sandakan district area: 2,266sqkm. population data from census will most certainly refer to the whole district, not just sandakan town (area of which will probably only amount to not more than 300sqkm. kawaputra 09:09, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
