Nickname

[edit]

In 2006, it was stated that Leo XI had the nickname "Papa Lampo", but no sources prior to that claim have been identified. A few more recent non-scholarly works have mentioned it, so avoid them as likely circular sourcing.Novangelis (talk) 19:06, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Further review indicates some hints that it predates Wikipedia. My Italian is not up to the task of translating this with sufficient certainty, especially to distinguish a popular nickname from an informal description in a recent book.Novangelis (talk) 17:18, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship

[edit]

This page states he was great-nephew to Leo X, but the list of popes page states he was nephew. Which is correct? SDSpivey (talk) 07:36, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
