From ten to seven "in error"?

[edit]

The article refers to an announcer on the opening night stating RTE 2 would start weekday evenings at "ten to seven", later said to be "in error" and implied that it was said around the wrong way.

It's quite likely that this wasn't in error and it actually did start at 6.50pm - for instance, a contemporary article from a Wicklow newspaper at the time of RTE 2's launch (republished by Transdiffusion in 2023 in the lead-up to the channel's 35th anniversary) corroborates the 18:50 start time, at least right at the start of its existence. - Spi' 05:57, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
