Stupid title, stupid battle result description

[edit]

Seriously, "Ottoman invasion of the Balearic Islands"? "Ottomans occupy part of the Balearic Islands"? The very same article later on says that this isn't true, that the Ottomans only raided one single town (Ciutadella) in Minorca and left with the survivors in chains, of course, but without leaving a single Turkish garrison behind them. They didn't even dare to attack the island's biggest city, Mahon, nor of course ever threatened the rest of the Balearics. So where the hell does this "invasion of the Balearics" thing come from? Judging from the title and the links in other articles pointing here, you'll think the Ottomans took over the entire archipielago for a while or that they at least attempted to do it. Yet as this very same article states they didn't, nor was this raid a new thing, as the list of other Ottoman raids on the area (which for some reason don't qualify as "invasion of the Balearic Islands" as much as this, I wonder wh) should make obvious. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.122.106.48 (talk) 02:55, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
