Have altered the article to reflect what I assume you mean. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.177.152.156 (talk) 18:32, 21 June 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Inspiration for The Mission

[edit]

Does anybody know what source he used for The Mission? I'm just wondering is there a book that is the basis of that film? Thanks. 193.1.172.163 15:55, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Date of death

[edit]

There seems a lot of disagreement between sources as to when Bolt died. 12 February, 20 February and 21 February all appear in Google searches. We’re currently saying 12 February.

The NTY obit says he died "Monday". This obit was published 23 Feb 1995, a Wednesday, which makes the date of “Monday” 21 February 1995. ImdB and Britannica both say 20 February, but they’re both known for sometimes getting it wrong. It’s far more likely that it was either the 20th or the 21st than the 12th. I’m going to trust the NYT on this one, and change the article to 21 February 1995. Perhaps the editor meant to type "21" but transposed the numbers. -- JackofOz (talk) 07:55, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ann Zane

[edit]

In the early 1980s, he had a short-lived third marriage, to Ann Zane, former Marquess of Queensbury, before remarrying Sarah Miles in 1988, with whom he remained until his death in 1995.

Two points.
  • It's Queensberry, not Queensbury.
  • (a) How could a woman ever have been the Marquess of anything, and (b) how does anyone become a "former Marquess"? Was she perhaps the ex-wife of the Marquess, and thus "the former Marchioness"? -- JackofOz (talk) 08:11, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
