Illustrations?

[edit]

An article on an illustrator/cartoonist really needs to have some examples of their work. Is any of it in the public domain? It's impossible to get a feel for Petersen's work without being able to see it. Liz Read! Talk! 23:55, 7 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jargon?

[edit]

What does this sentence mean?

Often his starting point is a plain Copenhagen jargon

"Jargon" doesn't refer to a word or expression; a jargon is a vocabulary, "the technical terminology or characteristic idiom of a special activity occupational or social group", such as botanists, auto mechanics, or poker players. --Thnidu (talk) 09:49, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing, something got in my eye

[edit]

In the quote

  • "– What is your opinion of the world situation? – Nothing, something got in my eye."

I think the Danish world syn should be translated to look or view instead of opinion, otherwise the punchline doesn't make any sense --Moedk (talk) 13:16, 21 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
