Controversy section

[edit]

I'm not sure there's a need for a "Controversy" section. There are no specifics included, nothing particularly 'controversial', and it all seems to stem from Glee fall-out. Can't it integrated into the existing 'TV' section? ~~Aerach~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.125.3.43 (talk) 20:07, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If anything, that section needs to be longer. This guy is a bully and attacks bands with insults if they turn his show down. They politely decline and he calls them out in public, it's unprofessional especially of someone of his high profile. 99.240.141.220 (talk) 18:34, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is "openly gay" necessary in Personal Life section?

[edit]

In the section "Personal Life" it states that Murphy is "openly gay" then precedes directly to state that he is married to David Miller and was formerly in a relationship with Bill Condon. He is married to someone called David and was formerly in a relationship with someone called Bill; I think it is very clear that he is openly gay and that it's not necessary to state it. Openly gay Mister. X is married to Mister Y OR Mr. X is married to Mr. Y? Do we need "openly gay" here? Adalom (talk) 09:01, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Birth year conflict

[edit]

The article currently sites a Biography.com article putting Murphy's birth year in 1965 (and also says he was born on November 9, not November 30, as the Wiki article had long said). However, a new New Yorker profile quite directly says "Ryan Murphy was born in Indianapolis in 1964." --Sunshineisles2 (talk) 23:26, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
