There is another picture of the group at the Bohemian Grove in the Stephane Groueff book Manhattan Project (1967, Collins, London) talen in the same place (fireplace) but with 9 people including Oppy & Nichols Hugo999 (talk) 11:11, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

The date of the meeting that Vannevar Bush held

We can see in the section of S-1 Project as below:

On December 18, 1941, Vannevar Bush held a meeting to organize an accelerated uranium-235 research project managed by Arthur Compton, with Harold Urey researching gaseous diffusion for uranium enrichment and Ernest Lawrence to research electromagnetic enrichment techniques.

The next day, the Japanese Empire's attack on Pearl Harbor led to the United States entry into the war. Four days later, Germany declared war on the United States. At a meeting on December 18 the S-1 project was dedicated to development of a uranium bomb.

The day when Japan attacked on Pearl Harbor is 8th December 1941 (7th December 1941 in USA time). I wonder if the date of the meeting that Vannevar Bush held is wrong. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bletilla (talk • contribs) 01:07, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

The article talks about Col Adamson being "dropped" but he had some continued oversight and A.W. Adamson was involved with atomic contact angles - https://www.atomicheritage.org/profile/arthur-adamson - among other Adamsons. The wikipedia article is somewhat opinionated and flawed in the fact that it does not appropriately cite nor clarify certain information. Prior to the Manhattan Project Adamson had been working on the "death ray" but required more power. Adamson was born in Shanghai but was a US Citizen. His work was paramount. Col.
