Taoshobuddha (2010), Savitri: A Review

Clarification „Ghose“ or „Ghosh“[edit]

Again and again the name „Ghose“ is changed into „Ghosh“ in various edits. These are reverted because they are unsourced, whereas “Ghose” is confirmed in several biographies. See, for instance, K.R.S. Iyengar (1972), A.B. Purani (1978) or Heehs (2008). Raimundo (talk) 08:23, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

REGARDING CASTE OF SRI AUROBINDO[edit]

Well certainly Sri Aurobindo was a bengali but specifically Bengali Kayastha community. This information is missing from the article . I request it to be added. Sources: 1)[1] 2)[2]LALAJI1234 (talk) 14:32, 26 December 2021 (UTC) 3)[3] pg 32.[reply]

Hence, I request editors to ADD HIS INFO ABOUT CASTE. LALAJI1234 (talk) 14:43, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Do we know that the subject of the article cared enough about it to tell others that he identified with a particular caste? NRPanikker (talk) 04:45, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

References

It is true that the Ghoses belonged to the Kayastha caste but Sri Aurobindo himself never referred to it in his comprehensive autobiographical writings (see CWSA vols. 35 / 36) or other texts. Therefore this information is not relevant in the context of this article. It has been mentioned in footnote 8, and that will do. --Raimundo (talk) 16:17, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mental Plane[edit]

Hi there Aurobindo experts, I am looking at this page: Mental plane which has not a single citation but a fair bit of information. I am trying to decide whether it is a subject worth developing, something that should be merged somewhere or something that needs a bit of WP:TNT. It claims that the Mental Plane is found in various philosophies and traditions, including yours. Is that correct? Most of the stuff I have found is only about Theosophy (or else something completely different!) If it is relevant to yourselves, you might want to make some edits there or else wight in on what it needs. Thanks Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 09:14, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Sirfurboy: not worth the truble; just softly close the door and tiptoe away, leaving the page peacefully undisturbed. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 10:01, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
