References overload

[edit]

Hello editors, it seems that the article includes many dead links, generally too many links, misplaced citations that don't directly support the content or support it with 5 links (Wikipedia:Citation overkill) where 1 or 2 would do. The page is in need of some keen-eyed pruning.

I'll be slowly going through every reference and see if it supports the content; removing superfluous information and updating it wherever necessary; making things more concise. Just giving a heads-up! Thanks CallMeByYourMane (talk) 11:14, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE: Hi, have removed many dead/irrelevant links, along with unsourced information etc. Replaced with better, more reliable sources like New York Times, The Guardian or Wall Street Journal. Still in the process.. CallMeByYourMane (talk) 19:28, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good! Nole (chat·edits) 23:45, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

UPDATE 2: Hello, took some time, but I think the article has been purged of dubious or irrelevant links, trivial or unencycolpedic content, some waffle, puffery and padding! Also needed updating with controversies and criticisms for balance. Now, just improving wherever there's scope. Thanks all for your patience. CallMeByYourMane (talk) 10:49, 15 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
