Claim that The Earls "refined" Black doo wop

[edit]

To me this unreferenced claim reads as a whitewashing of Black musical history. It is well known that white artists often became successful singing Black music simply because they were white - not because they somehow "refined" the music. In any case, without reliable sources, this claim looks like "opinion" or "original research", and as such should be deleted as per Wikipedia policy.

Any objections to a deletion/rewrite of this part of the introduction? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C7:9386:BA00:BFE5:C6FD:704:D813 (talk) 01:48, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Need help in posting

[edit]

Since I was in the Earls, I am considered a Conflict of Interest if I post. In fact, I did post and it was removed by a bot. The guy who monitors it said I need to ask for help. I'd be glad to pass along the picture and where thought it should go. email at cassongs at yahoo thanks Chris Cassone Cassone (talk) 16:43, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
