Thunder Road FilmsThunder Road PicturesThis move from a blocked user was not discussed and was unexplained as well. The company produces more than just films (i.e. television shows), and the WP:COMMONNAME would either be simply "Thunder Road" or "Thunder Road Pictures". Some support for the common name claim: The company is listed as "Pictures" in Variety's profile on the executive, an old Variety article, an IndieWire article, Deadline often just uses "Thunder Road", but they also use "Pictures", and The Hollywood Reporter etc. I know we use what RS use, but FWIW, they seem to refer to themselves as Thunder Road Pictures as well. I would simply revert the move, but a formal RM will allow speedy renames of its categories. -2pou (talk) 22:11, 2 May 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. – MaterialWorks 23:23, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Mild support, or move to Thunder Road (company) - This company's branding is inconsistent - I see "Films" and "Pictures" alternatively and in pretty equal frequency (their own official Facebook page uses both). I think, though, the common name is just "Thunder Road", so we can avoid the confusion with a parenthetical disambiguation. -- Netoholic @ 04:04, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Although not as WP:NATURAL of a disambiguation, I would not oppose that alternative if consensus pushes towards that direction. -2pou (talk) 16:49, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thunder Road (company) is not a valid option, per WP:NATURAL. InfiniteNexus (talk) 20:40, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Its absolutely an option when the NATURAL alternatives are not consistent or common. -- Netoholic @ 10:20, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose The COMMONNAME of the studio is irrelevant in this case, as we are trying to determine what the correct suffix of the company is. To do this, we should look to official sources rather than third-party references (the COMMONNAME would probably be just "Thunder Road", but that's a DAB page). John Wick: Chapter 4 is Thunder Road's most recent film (according to this article), and per this press release the company is credited as "Thunder Road Films" and not "Thunder Road Pictures". Thunder Road's next film is listed as Love Again, and on the poster's billing block the company is once again credited as "Thunder Road Films" and not "Thunder Road Pictures". Furthermore, the company's Twitter page uses "Thunder Road Films" in its name and bio, though its handle remains @thunderroadpics. All this is plentiful evidence that the company's current name is "Thunder Road Films". InfiniteNexus (talk) 20:40, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
