Cost

[edit]

[1] says "In the US the wholesale acquisition cost of Mekinist will be $8,700 for a 30-day supply" - Rod57 (talk) 13:22, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In general, I think it is a bad idea to try to include specific information about the cost of a drug because it varies considerably. It depends on who is paying for it (patient, pharmacy, insurance company, government program, etc.), where they live (US, Europe, elsewhere... ), and many other factors. Even the statement you quote may be accurate only in some circumstances - for example, there are often deals that large purchasers such as national pharmacy chains can make to reduce the price they pay below the normal wholesale cost. -- Ed (Edgar181) 18:27, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

BRAF mutation

[edit]

I suspect the mutation is at position 600 of the BRAF protein, not gene (the numbering of proteins and genes are not the same). 69.72.92.128 (talk) 06:38, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
