"Point 9"

This paragrah: "9. Deremoth är på Kon. Mat.s och Sveriges cronos vägnar låfvat och tillsagdt, att alle ständer, adell och oadell, andelige och verldzlige, borgare och bönder, uthi the vidh desse tractater cederade länder och lähn i Danmarck och Nåries skole behålla deres godz och egendomb, som dem antem genom arff, kiöp, bythe eller pant för krigedh, antingen aff cronan eller privatis sigh emillan, medh rätta tillkommer, och här effter mechtige vara, dem att besittia, nyttia, bruka och behålla, jemväl dem att försällia och sigh afhända som tillförne, så som och blifva vidh deras vanlige rätt, lagd och gamble privilegier och frijheter oturberade och obehindrade, så vijda de icke löpa eller strida contra leges fundamentales af Sveriges crono, medh hvilcke desse cederade landh och lähn till evärdelig tidh här effter incorporeras skole. Och på dedh man må förnimma Kon. Mat.s i Sverige nådigste benägenheet, snarare deres vilckor att förbättra än förringa, är tillsagdt, att alle, så adell som oadel, hvilcke sigh under Kon. Mat.s och crones Sveriges jurisdiction alldeles begifve, må åthniuta medh de infödde Svenske lijka tillträde till beneficia och honores." says nothing about "own law, own language, own culture, own property". It is mostly about private property which should stay unaffected (and also did so). The former Danish noble families were also soon incorporated into the Swedish Nobility. The old provincial law system was abolished 1683 in both Denmark and Sweden a replaced by national law. --Vedum (talk) 15:17, 23 April 2013 (UTC)

What you cited is §9 of the Roskildefreden (1658), not Copenhagen (1660). But - §9 of Copenhagen (1660) neither says anything about "own law" etc, it is about titles/property on Rügen (read §9 online). In §§12 ff., there is protection of Scanian property and law, but I found nothing about "own culture" or "own language" in the treaty. Skäpperöd (talk) 17:12, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

Yes. There are people alwas talking about this "§9" not fullfilled by the Swedish Government. But in this Treaty the paragraph is about quite other things. The original §9 (Roskilde) is also about titles/property and not about "culture" and "language", which is not mentioned at all. --Muniswede (talk) 20:53, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
