I've never done any sort of editing at Wikipedia - I really don't know what I'm doing.

But in case anyone sees this:

The Vermilion Iron formation is NOT part of the proterozic Animikie Group. The Vermilion Iron formation is Archean (early preCambrian). The Vermilion Iron formation is pre-Algoman orogany, the other (Amimikie Group) Minnesota iron formations are post-Algoman orogany.

This same error appears at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animikie_Group

Please pardon any spelling errors.

The "Lake Superior Iron Ranges" map used with the article spells "Vermilion" improperly.

[edit]

The article title and body are correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.128.142.233 (talk) 03:45, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
