name of district includes "3"?

[edit]

I just happened to set up a redirect from Widefield School District to this article, currently named Widefield School District 3. Hey, why is "3" part of the name of the district? The district's webpage, linked from this article, does show the "3". However, I wonder if it is most commonly called simply "Widefield School District", and the "3" might be part of some Colorado state or El Paso County numbering system. Are there other school districts of that name? Perhaps this article should be moved over the redirect. --Doncram (talk) 17:55, 2 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
