Bumface

[edit]

I'm removing the bit about bumface, it doesn't seem to to the kind of thing that should be in a BLP if its unreferenced. I did a google search but the results all seem to be a mirror of here. If anyone can find a reliable reference then go ahead and re add it. GainLine 19:06, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's in his autobiography for starters.GordyB (talk) 19:30, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
grand, see you added it back in in the infobox, don't think it was suitable for the lead. GainLine 21:00, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Has this been vandalised? Did it say something other than "bumface" which is not in the article? 2A00:23C8:8F9F:4801:BD44:590B:2418:2014 (talk) 11:56, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Leaving army

[edit]

There are contradictory details about when and how he left the army. Under 'Early life' it says 'his commission was terminated in 1988', which choice of words seems to suggest he was forcibly thrown out of the army for some misdemeanor or made reduncant (it was the 90s not the 80s that saw officers and soldiers being made redundant). Quite rightly I think a 'clarification needed' is put against the statement. However, under 'Rugby career' it states he resigned from the army - therefore inferring he decided to leave - in 1987.Cloptonson (talk) 12:03, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
