Apparently the song Evangeline was his most famous. You can find the book Brainard's Biographies of American Musicians previewed on google and it contains a section describing it:
While “Evangeline” was perhaps the best-selling song Will Hays ever wrote, he produced many others that enjoyed an extraordinary degree of popularity. Among these are “Driven from Home,” “I’m Still a Friend to You,” “Write Me a Letter from Home,” “We Parted by the River Side,” “Shamus O'Brien,” “Nora O’Neal," “Mollie Darling,” “Katy McFerran,” and “Kiss Me Good Bye, Darling?
