Requested move[edit]
- The following discussion is an archived discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
Wrangell Island (Southern) → Wrangell Island — No disambiguation is needed. If it were, Wrangell Island, Alaska would be a better choice. —Reuben 18:47, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Survey[edit]
- Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with

. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's naming conventions.
- Support. No disambiguation is needed. --Reuben 18:50, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- I would prefer your other alternative: Wrangell Island, Alaska; relying on a double letter for disambiguation makes me nervous. Septentrionalis PMAnderson 22:13, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Support. The dab headers at the top of each article should do it. — AjaxSmack 13:33, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Discussion[edit]
- Any additional comments:
- This page was originally under Wrangell Island, but was moved in conjunction with renaming the Russian Wrangel Island to also have two Ls. Since the Russian island is ordinarily spelled with only one L, there's no need to disambiguate the titles. --Reuben 18:54, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
This article has been renamed from Wrangell Island (Southern) to Wrangell Island as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 09:41, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
