XIT doesn't stand for "Ten in Texas"?

[edit]

Of course the brand was designed so it would be hard to change, but the TSHA handbook doesn't explicitly say that XIT doesn't stand for Ten in Texas. Flat-out saying that XIT doesn't stand for Ten in Texas is potentially an inaccurate assumption. smileguy91talk x my huckleberrying 18:20, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Map?

[edit]

Please include a map that lays out the borders of the original XIT ranch over a current map of the area. 2603:8081:20F0:89C0:DD9A:1581:C6C3:263 (talk) 12:54, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Is "Ten in Texas" a myth or not?

[edit]

In the third paragraph of the "Development" section it says "cowboy legends kept alive the myth that the brand means Ten in Texas". Doesn't this imply that it doesn't actually mean that? In the header it says plainly that it means Ten in Texas, isn't that a contradiction? 201.191.218.148 (talk) 21:56, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
