Northern Cities[edit]
This should show cities in the Republic of Ireland- since the UK already has its own city template series. Astrotrain 11:56, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- These are geographical templates, they are for information on Ireland as a whole, the countries tourist boards promote Ireland north and south together as one.--padraig 12:17, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Cashel[edit]
Why is Cashel here? I understand it says it's a historical city, but this is in relation to contemporary cities. I think this should be removed from the template. Dennisc24 (talk) 19:57, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Removing Cashel from template as its presence is not justified. On this basis, any town that has a cathedral could be on this list. Dennisc24 (talk) 14:02, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
Gateway cities[edit]
Why is there a section for this in the template? The gateway towns, which is their proper name on Government documentation - just do a Google, have very little bearing on real life in Ireland, including within the gateway towns themselves. Gateway towns are simply a designation of certain towns for planning purposes. I also think this section should be removed. Any thoughts? Dennisc24 (talk) 20:01, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- I have removed them as I can see little point of there inclusion; no context, no relevance. Djegan (talk) 17:06, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
