tasman

[edit]

ok, i know that ie for mac isn't continued, tasman is uesd for mac office 2004&2008 --> why is tasman now a previous technology?

It is only previous technology to Internet Explorer, not in general. The idea is the technology only in older IE versions is separated off from current stuff, even if development continued separately from IE. I agree the section name leads to confusion, but when its all grouped together it makes it seem like those technologies are still in internet explorer. Digita (talk) 14:46, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
oh, ok I understand. ehm, ok, you're right! Mabdul (talk) 11:38, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup

[edit]

Hey, I am also in favor of a bit cleaning up of this template. It's much bloated. Because IE was back then updated as a system component, a lot of technologies were bundled with it. But this template should only list those which were very prominently tied with IE or are directly internet related.

Regarding smart tags, I feel as an end-user feature (and prominent one at that), it is not present so it should go to past technology.

Notes: I changed previous technologies to implementations, because it connotate too much on discontinued technologies which the group isn't referring to at all. --142.22.48.251 (talk) 20:18, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
