- Comment: Not sure about this one because the video description clearly states "Copyright Ⓒ SBS. All rights reserved." but the video is also released under CC-BY-3.0. I think the "All Rights Reserved" overrides the license. C F A 💬 22:26, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Article to be used on/reason for upload: Chris Gollon, because there are no images of his work in the article, which is dedicated to his work as a painter. This piece is referenced in the 4th paragraph under "Work". I have obtained permission to upload as fair use from the Chris Gollon Estate. Adding an image of Chris Gollon's ‘Einstein and the Jealous Monk' will illustrate a major work in a museum collection by the artist Chris Gollon, and it is a painting mentioned in the article’s text. There are no current examples of his painting on this article, which is dedicated to his work as a painter. This painting is a good example of his work and style, and one in a national museum collection.

- Hi, the declaration of consent linked above only refers to free licenses, however we only want to release this image as "fair use", do I just change the license type in the email or is there a different declaration needed?
- Thanks! Lousharpe (talk) 21:26, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Hi, thanks for your message. Declaration of consent for fair use under the following license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International has been emailed to
permissions-enwikimedia.org
- The email has been sent from an IAP fine art, who represent the Chris Gollon Estate. The justification for fair use was (hopefully) covered in my initial request on Files for upload
- Lousharpe (talk) 13:18, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- That's not how that works on Wikipedia. You can't use a "fair-use" image of artwork on an article about the artist. If you want Wikipedia to use an image of the work, then the work itself needs to be released under a free license. See c:COM:VRT if that's what you want to do.
