1 Year of Club Penguin Collectors 🎂

    image

To celebrate our 1st anniversary and the birthday of founding Club Penguin Collectors, we present a photo collage of fan-favorite Club Penguin merch selected by our Discord server members!

Thank you all for your wondrous support for our socials and Discord server! We strive to continue Club Penguin's legacy by educating former players and fans about all the game's known merchandise, and we will remain searching for any other lost merchandise we still have yet to rediscover.

    Waddle on!

  • It’s crazy how some of my older fast fashion clothes from brands like Forever 21, Hollister, American Eagle, and Zara that I’ve had since HIGH SCHOOL or MIDDLE SCHOOL are still better quality and in good condition than clothes sold today in those stores

This is not to say my older clothes are supreme quality because they’re still made of synthetic fibers, but I notice fast fashion now today are THINNER and more easily damagable. I hear stories how they tear or fall apart after just at least 2 weeks of purchase.

Lolita Fashion ≠ Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov

    image

Lolita fashion is a japanese street fashion emerging in the late 1970s as a way of rebellion by japanese women and girls, using a lot of elements from the earlier Natural-kei movement, victorian and rococó fashion, and otome aesthetics.

This fashion consists in fluffy, cute dresses, platforms, lace and jewelry. There are a lot of substyles, like Sweet, Gothic, Classic and Country. The name "Lolita" was chosen because it's a cute girl's name, by japanese teenagers. It doesn't have any connection to the Lolita book or lolicon, even though there are a lot of people still perpetuating this lie.

    image

Lolita fashion is about reclaiming our bodies to ourselves, to dress for ourselves and to feel empowered, it doesn't have anything to do with a book about a disgusting pervert abusing a little girl. Please don't disseminate this lie, as we as a community are very repeatedly hurt by this (people see us as kink and use our pictures against our consent, try to drag us into spaces we don't wanna be in, are generally disgusting with us) please don't spread this myth

  • I feel so bad for Imane Khelif that she was dragged into this culture war of fearmongering that the American far right, TERFs, and Russian political bots are trying to manufacture through misinformation and lies.

I guess to them, Algeria has become woke now lol
