    The Euro Cup is coming to an end but that doesn’t mean that we’re slowing down with orders! 🚲While we were sad to see the Croatian team 🇭🇷 get knocked out at the group stage, we found some interesting data around consumption habits and match days. ⚽ 🛒On average, grocery orders increased by 55% in the hour leading up to matches. 🍺 Beer was the most ordered grocery item, with a +180% compared to the average in 2024 so far. 🍽️ We’ve seen an +25% average increase in restaurant orders 🍝 Italian cuisine saw a 111% increase in orders during the Italy vs. Croatia Match.     In 3 Ukrainian 🇺🇦 cities, #Kyiv, #Odesa, and #Dnipro - a frontline city dealing with constant air alerts - we invited psychologists to conduct stress-reducing exercises, meditations, and give recommendations on how to cope with panic attacks and internal anxiety states. We currently operate in 37 cities in the country, many of which experience air raid alerts on a regular basis. With Couriers out in the city on a daily basis, we wanted to help combat this stress by conducting trainings for couriers operating under psychological duress: "How to effectively manage stress in wartime". While we understand this is a small action, we are completely committed to supporting Ukraine in their recovery and providing essential aid - both physical and psychological- to those in need across our ecosystem. #GlovoUkraine #Ukraine

    This past weekend, we helped the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria celebrate the 4th of July 🎆at the Sofia Tech Park. Our partner, McDonald's 🍔🍟, invited us to transport their products from 3 of their restaurants in #Sofia to the event, where party-goers got the true American experience with a dash of #Glovo. The party brought a taste of the U.S.A. 🇺🇲 to Bulgaria, kicking off the event with a 4th of July Parade with American iconic cars 🛻, a marching band 🥁, and cheerleaders. 📣 #GlovoBulgaria #McDonalds

    Have you ever wondered what happens to our iconic #Glovo Bags when they’re no longer fit to carry orders to our customers? We’ve developed a variety of initiatives across the Glovo world to ensure that our old Glovo bags don’t just go to waste. ♻️ 🇺🇬In #Uganda, we’ve partnered with Planet 3R to give a new life to Glovo backpacks, reusing 90% of the materials to create new backpacks. The only materials used from the Planet 3R store were Ankara, belt, zip lining, and thread. (photos 1-2) 🇵🇱In #Poland, we’re collaborating with Do Oddania and the Fundacja Splot Społeczny to repurpose used delivery backpacks donated by Couriers into thermal mats for shelter animals in Poland. (photos 3-5) 🇰🇪In #Kenya, we’ve refurbished Glovo Bags into school bags for around 200 children in need.     We’re celebrating 6 years in #Romania! 🇷🇴🥳To commemorate this milestone, we’re bringing you 6 user trends that define the country 🍔 Smash Burgers have gone from niche to mainstream with consumption doubling annually since 2022. Last year, Romania took the crown for most burger orders in Southeastern Europe, with over 8 million burger deliveries. 🐟Poke Bowls are on the rise. In the past year, orders for this beloved Hawaiian dish have tripled, with users in Bucharest ordering them more often than any other city. 🥗Healthy Dishes from caesar salads, avocado toasts, and salmon poke are the most ordered. 🛒Supermarket Deliveries saw a massive growth between 2019 and 2020 and it’s still on the rise.     Our teams across the #Glovo world celebrated June in style while shedding light on important issues that affect the LGBTQIA+ community. 🌈 We held various talks, including several panel discussions about the realities of being LGBTQIA+ in a corporate environment, to movie nights, saw teams walking in solidarity at #Milan’s Pride Parades, and danced it out at #CultureDay with musical bingo.     From Sarajevo 🇧🇦, in partnership with the Knowledge Center at the Kult Youth Development Institute (Institut za razvoj mladih KULT) we invited local couriers for a seminar on smart money management. We explored effective tips and tricks and how to set and achieve financial goals, all while taking the opportunity to connect with each other. Couriers are an integral part of our ecosystem. Regardless of the city, the country, or the frequency they connect to the Glovo app, we believe in giving couriers the opportunity to upskill, offering it via different platforms, courses, and training. In addition to money management courses, Couriers have access to G-Learning, a digital platform that offers training courses on topics ranging from entrepreneurship, business management, IT skills or even language learning courses. The access to these tools helps couriers develop their professional skills and progress on their professional journey. #GlovoBosnia

    Wondering what Moroccans 🇲🇦 ordered from Glovo during Eid al-Adha? Eid al-Adha, known as the feast of sacrifice, is the second most important holiday on the #Muslim calendar after #Ramadan. This year, the holiday coincided with the start of the summer season, the end of student exams, and the return of Moroccans living abroad - making for an extra special weekend! We recorded an increase of over 47% in the total number of orders delivered on Eid al-Adha compared to the same period last year. 🍔 More than 6,000 burgers were delivered in Morocco on Eid day itself 🍗There was a 31% increase in chicken-based dishes compared to Eid last year 🥗 The holidays aren't just about indulging - we saw a 57% increase in orders for healthy dishes To end the festivities on a sweet note, Moroccan users placed more than 3,500 orders for ice creams of all kinds and flavors. 🍦 Pastries and bakery products were also very popular, with over 4,500 pastries delivered on Eid day alone! Our services were available from midday on the day of Eid until 10pm, with orders peaking between 7pm and 10pm. With summer in full swing, we also saw a significant increase in orders in tourist cities, particularly in #Oujda with an increase of over 177%, and M'Diq with an increase of 100% compared with the rest of the year. #Glovo #Eid #Partners #Holiday
