TV Article 2015 TCA Award nominees include 'Empire,' 'Transparent,' 'Better Call Saul' By Jennifer Maas Published on June 4, 2015 08:58PM EDT Photo: Chuck Hodes/Fox Nominees for this year’s Television Critics Association Awards include some oldies like Mad Men (R.I.P.), The Big Bang Theory and Game of Thrones; as well as some already beloved newcomers including Empire, Transparent and Better Call Saul. But we won’t know the winners until Aug. 8 when they are revealed at a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel—part of the TCA’s summer press tour, which will run July 28 through Aug. 13. “TCA members face yet another difficult decision this year, as they prepare to cast their votes for the winners in each category,” said TCA President Scott D. Pierce in a press release. “This was an incredible season for returning favorites and new additions alike, and we’re looking forward to seeing what our members have chosen as the best of the best, when the winners are announced on Aug. 8.” It looks like Program of the Year is going to be one of the most serious categories this year, as The Americans, Empire, Game of Thrones, Mad Men and Transparent all vye for the title previously held by Breaking Bad.
