Bullard has opened recent practices at training camp with the first-team defense, Peter Bukowski of The Leap reports. Coach Matt LaFleur said recently that the Packers would deploy a rotation at safety next to locked-in starter Xavier McKinney, but that hasn't prevented Bullard from retaining a strong grip on first-team reps. LaFleur's comments about a safety rotation could have less to do with Bullard's ability to contribute as an immediate starter and more to do with his versatility to switch between safety and man-coverage, or even his potential to take reps in the slot. To kick off training camp, Bullard was considered in the "pole position" to earn a starting safety role alongside McKinney, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, and his recent performance at practice seems to further support that notion.

Latest Packers News
Javon Bullard : Seeing plenty of first-team reps
Michael Pratt : Second in line for sunday
Pratt will follow Sean Clifford on Sunday against the Broncos, Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated reports. Pratt and Clifford will continue their competition for the backup job to starter Jordan Love in the Packers' second preseason game. The former completed five of seven passes for 46 yards against the Browns last Saturday.
Sean Clifford : Will see snaps first
Clifford will start Sunday's game against the Broncos, according to head coach Matt LaFleur, Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated reports. Clifford will be followed by Michael Pratt with Jordan Love set to get the night off. The Penn State product completed 10 of 19 pass attempts for 111 yards in a 23-10 win over the Browns on Saturday.
Jordan Love : Not likely to play this week
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Love isn't expected to play in Sunday's preseason game against the Broncos, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. LaFleur noted that he's planning to start Sean Clifford, then use rookie Michael Pratt as the second quarterback. Love played one drive in a 23-10 exhibition win over Cleveland on Saturday, connecting with Dontayvion Wicks for a 65-yard touchdown on the third snap of the game.
Donovan Jennings : Back at practice
Jennings (knee) returned to practice with the Packers on Tuesday, Andy Herman of Pack-A-Day Podcast reports. Jennings was held out of the Packers' preseason opener Saturday versus the Browns while nursing a knee injury, but he now appears to be healthy. The 24-year-old is battling for a spot as a backup option at offensive guard ahead of the 2024 campaign.
Jordan Morgan : Limited in practice Tuesday
Morgan (shoulder) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Head coach Mike LaFleur said after Tuesday's session that Morgan, who has missed practices due to a shoulder injury, will be eased back into training camp. Depending on how his body responds to his return to practice, Morgan may be held out of the Packers next preseason game against the Broncos on Sunday.
Dimitri Stanley : Returns to practice
Stanley (hamstring) participated in drills during Tuesday's practice session, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports. Stanley sustained a hamstring injury practice in the week leading up to the Packers' preseason opener against the Browns on Saturday. He was unable to suit up for that contest, but he appears to have fully recovered from the injury. Stanley is gunning for a depth spot at wide receiver, and he'll look to make a case for himself to make the final 53-man roster in Green Bay's next preseason bout against Denver on Sunday.
MarShawn Lloyd : Not practicing
Lloyd (hamstring) isn't practicing Tuesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Coach Matt LaFleur declined to give a timetable or provide details, merely informing reporters that Lloyd won't practice Tuesday after injuring his hamstring during Saturday's preseason game against Cleveland. The rookie told reporters after the game that he'd pushed through a hamstring injury earlier in training camp, which is perhaps surprising given that his previous absences from practice (in late July) were attributed to a hip injury. Details aside, the mounting missed time this summer will only make it more difficult for Lloyd to earn a significant role early in the season, potentially opening the door for Emanuel Wilson behind Josh Jacobs and AJ Dillon.
