Affordable quality healthcare for all! To assure comprehensive quality healthcare for citizens, the state of  Andhra Pradesh created a digital platform where health survey data of citizens was uploaded with their consent. Auxiliary Nurses and Midwives (ANMs) and ASHA’s together conducted basic health screening of citizens on 20 health parameters, collected health data and updated the State’s Electronic Health Records database with the help of tabs. All confirmed cases are monitored weekly by the ANM and monthly by the medical officer. Medicine is administered on a monthly basis. This paved the way for the State’s digital health ecosystem to build a comprehensive electronic health records database. Thus, establishing a platform to ensure assured quality of care. Cleaner and greener villages and cities are crucial milestones on the journey of #BharatKeBadhteKadam Aamwala Sainwala Gram Panchayat in Sirmaur successfully tackled stagnant water and overflowing wastewater issues by constructing a Water Stabilization Pond (WSP) and a drainage channel. This Swachh Bharat Mission - Gramin Phase-II initiative significantly improved sanitation and cleanliness in the village, ensuring effective wastewater treatment and sustainability of their Open Defecation Free status. Greywater from households is now channeled into the drains connected to the WSP, and some households have constructed individual soak pits to utilize the treated water for their kitchen gardens, resulting in a cleaner and more environmentally-friendly community. Making solid waste useful for village kitchens!   A community biogas plant in a village in Kanpur provides cooking gas to 25 vulnerable families and nutrient-rich manure for agriculture to the villagers today. The village has found one of the best ways to manage solid waste, crop residue, and kitchen leftovers with this community biogas plant. The community biogas plant was established in Itarra Gram Panchayat, Kanpur District, Uttar Pradesh under the GOBARdhan initiative of Swachh Bharat Mission - Gramin. It became functional shortly after the construction work had finished. Cow dung required for the operation is being sourced from a nearby gaushala. Additionally, 10 families in the village consented to provide cow dung on a daily basis. For the first three months, the gas from the plant was supplied to the families for free, after that, a monthly fee of Rs. 250 was charged. The money generated this way is being used to pay the caretakers who would use it for operational and maintenance work of the biogas plant.
