Yo Picasso, one of the earliest autoportraits by Pablo Picasso, painted in Paris, may 1901, now in private collection, was acquired by Hugo von Hofmannsthal in 1912. The author was so fascinated  by that painting that he had himself photographed in his living room, under the painting, and later also himself shooted in the same pose as the portrait. Picasso never knew.
