Josep Guia
Josep Guia Marín (València, 1947) és Doctor en Matemàtiques (1974) i en Filologia (2008) per la Universitat de València, on ha estat Vicerector (1984-86) i professor del Departament d’Àlgebra (1971-2010). Ha publicat treballs de Topologia General en revistes matemàtiques especialitzades, així com llibres sobre la qüestió nacional catalana. A partir de 1990, en col·laboració amb la Dra. Maria Conca, ha orientat la seva recerca cap a la Filologia i, en particular, cap a la Fraseologia i la Paremiologia, en una perspectiva diacrònica i contrastiva, amb aplicacions a l’anàlisi del discurs, l’estilometria, la història de la literatura i els textos sapiencials. També ha fet recerca en temes de memòria històrica, sobre la repressió de la dictadura franquista. Ha obtingut premis d’assaig i d’investigació filològica. Josep Guia Marín (Valencia, 1947) is a Doctor of Mathematics (1974) and Philology (2008) at the University of Valencia, where he has been Vice-president (1984-86) and professor of Department of Algebra (1971-2010). He has published works of General Topology in specialized mathematical journals, as well as books on the Catalan National question. Since 1990, in collaboration with Dr. Maria Conca, has focused her research on Philology and, in particular, on Phraseology and Paremiology, in a diachronic and contrastive perspective, with applications to the analysis of discourse, the stylometry, the history of literature and the sapiential texts. He has also done research on issues of Historical Memory, about the repression of the Franco dictatorship. He has won essay awards and philological research.
