The application combines the advantages of multicast traffic, which gives higher local network bandwidth performance, with the advantages of the reliable traffic. Abstract:- One of the main costs of the marine farms is the extruded feed. This paper discusses m... more Abstract:- One of the main costs of the marine farms is the extruded feed. This paper discusses many issues given when fish, mussels, oysters or other shellfish are fed. Several published systems for sustainability are also described. Authors will propose a simulator based on underwater wireless sensors that will solve issues aforementioned giving sustainability for marine farms. Because sensors are not wired, they could be deployed widely without cable limitations. The simulator permits to design scalable systems, useful when there are many fish cages, allowing low cost maintenance. It will be compared with other simulators published by other authors. Actualmente es necesario evaluar competencias transversales en todos los grados y másteres de la UPV y estas deben ser evaluadas en distintas asignaturas. Ante la falta de experiencia en su evaluación, la UPV ha elaborado rúbricas para ayudar al profesorado en dicha tarea. En este artículo revisamos la evaluación de la competencia transversal “Análisis y resolución de problemas” en cuatro asignaturas de distintos cursos y grados. En dos de estas asignaturas se han realizado actividades especiales para la evaluación de esta competencia y se han utilizado rúbricas para ello. Equally, smartphone manufacturers are mounting several wireless communication and localization technologies, inertial sensors as well as powerful processing capability, to cater to such LBS applications. A hybrid of wireless technologies is needed to provide seamless localization solutions and to improve accuracy, to reduce time to fix, and to reduce power consumption. The review of localization techniques/technologies of this emerging field is therefore important. This article reviews the recent research-oriented and commercial localization solutions on smartphones. The proper transport of hit sensitive products, such as fish and fruit, is very important because... more The proper transport of hit sensitive products, such as fish and fruit, is very important because their deterioration may cause the value lost and even the product rejection by the buyer. For this reason, in this paper we present a cooperative monitoring system for the delivery of fresh products. The system consists of fixed wireless nodes and a mobile wireless node that is installed in the packet. This mobile node is able to take data of the internal temperature, external temperature and the 3 axis movement. With the information stored in the network, a vendor can know the optimal conditions of the transport. Finally, we test the maximum distance to the fixed nodes, as well as the data collected by the sensor.

Operators are continuously expanding their Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service due to bot... more Operators are continuously expanding their Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service due to both the increase of the users subscribed to the service and the increase of the type of devices used by the customers. When a user connects to the IPTV service using multiple devices simultaneously, each connection consumes its corresponding bandwidth. This can create serious problems to the operators such as the lack of enough bandwidth, decrease of the Quality of Service, etc. This paper presents the study carried out using a basic topology on which a video is broadcasted varying several network parameters and the network conditions. The received video quality is assessed by using the Mean Option Score. Taking into account all gathered information, we propose a new protocol and algorithm to improve the Quality of Experience of IPTV service customers.
