Este trabalho trata do ensino da habilidade para diagnosticar estudantes de enfermagem. Tem como ... more Este trabalho trata do ensino da habilidade para diagnosticar estudantes de enfermagem. Tem como objetivo geral verificar a adequação da elaboração do processo de análise e síntese e sua relação com o estabelecimento do diagnóstico de enfermagem. Após serem desenvolvidos os conteúdos programáticos previstos na disciplina de Enfermagem Médica, em face a uma situação hipotética, os alunos elaboraram o processo diagnóstico (RISNER, 1986) individualmente, chegando a um total de 106 formulações de Diagnóstico (Taxonomia I da North American Nursing Diagnosis Association - NANDA). As maiores dificuldades se deram na área do estabelecimento de "relações" e de "agrupamento de dados". Sugere-se que o desenvolvimento do processo de pensamento inerente à análise e síntese seja estimulado desde o início do curso de graduação.

Identificou-se categorias diagnósticas e padrões de respostas humanas em pacientes neurológicos, ... more Identificou-se categorias diagnósticas e padrões de respostas humanas em pacientes neurológicos, assistidos por alunos de graduação, que lhes atribuíram diagnósticos de enfermagem segundo a Taxonomia 1 da NANDA. A maioria dos diagnósticos referem-se aos padrões Trocar, Mover e Comunicar e a minoria aos padrões Escolher, Perceber e Sentir. A não atribuição de outros diagnósticos possivelmente ocorreu pela menor ênfase dada aos mesmos e inexperiência dos alunos. A intencionalidade dos docentes em desenvolver nos estudantes habilidades de análise e síntese, tem-se mostrado uma experiência positiva.

No presente estudo buscaram-se os padrões de respostas humanas e as categorias diagnósticas ident... more No presente estudo buscaram-se os padrões de respostas humanas e as categorias diagnósticas identificadas por 16 alunos de graduação em enfermagem junto a 22 pacientes portadores de alterações cardíacas, internados em um hospital escola. Foram encontrados 77 diagnósticos de enfermagem (D.E.), sendo 72,7% do padrão TROCAR, 10,3% do padrão CONHECER, 7,7% do padrão MOVER, 6,4% do padrão SENTIR e 2,5% do padrão RELACIONAR. As categorias diagnósticas encontradas com maior freqüência foram: Déficit de Conhecimento (9%); Débito Cardíaco Diminuído (7,7%); Excesso de Volume de Líquido (6,4%); Alteração na nutrição para menos que o corpo necessita (6,4%) e Potencial para Infecção (5,1%).

Foram investigados 239 prontuários de pacientes atendidos em um hospital, portadores de patologia... more Foram investigados 239 prontuários de pacientes atendidos em um hospital, portadores de patologias neurológicas de etiologias desconhecidas, buscando-se alguma relação entre a doença apresentada e o uso ocupacional de substâncias químicas. Em 32 prontuários havia registros sobre ocupação. 37.50% dos pacientes trabalhavam na agricultura; 34.37% eram empregadas domésticas/donas de casa; 12.50% eram pedreiros; um era sapateiro, um seleiro; um montador de móveis e os demais trabalhavam com máquinas. Em decorrência de sua atividade, possivelmente utilizaram substâncias químicas. As poucas informações relacionando o uso destes produtos e a doença apresentada pelos pacientes demonstram a reduzida importância conferida a estas variáveis.

Methodology: data collection was carried out through the search of index-linked articles on virtual library-SciELO published from 1998 to 2008. Results: there were found 15 articles which discussed the theme, teachers’ vocal alterations as a consequence of work. It was identified the transversal observational as the main kind of studying with 33,38%. It was researched 5.910 teachers and from this group 53,33% worked in basic education and 60% were from both sexes. The thematic issues most frequent were: problems identification, knowledge and caring, unappropriated behaviours and vocal health promotion. It was observed as main alterations: chronic larynx, vocal dis phony, vocal fatigue caused by the effort at speaking, hoarseness, among others. Method: literature review during the period among 1985 to 2008, with search of articles indexed through pre-determined descriptors in the virtual library SciELO Brazil and in the electronic databases LILACS, COCHRANE and ADOLEC. Results: after compliance with the criteria for inclusion, it was obtained 26 articles of which 13 in LILACS, 9 in database SciELO , 3 in ADOLEC and 1 in COCHRANE. The causes of motorcycle accidents involving dangerous maneuvers, use of alcohol, drugs, speeding and tiredness, climatic influences, lack of maintenance, among others; the injuries included traumatic brain injury, chest, abdominal, upper and lower limbs injuries. Method: It is a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study. Eight faculties took part of the sample. Data were collected by semi-structured interviews from July to August 2002.These interviews were classified according to thematic content analysis. Results: the content analysis evidenced six analytical categories: the first was identifying oneself with the curricular change, the second identified the personal contribution to change the future professional profile, the third showed lack of acknowledgement, the fourth was the loss of professional identity, the fifth was the insecurity on the changing process and the sixth identified the authoritarianism on the curricular change. OBJECTIVES: to assess the effect of a compensatory workplace exercise program on workers with the... more OBJECTIVES: to assess the effect of a compensatory workplace exercise program on workers with the purpose of reducing work-related stress and musculoskeletal pain.METHOD: quasi-experimental research with quantitative analysis of the data, involving 30 administrative workers from a Higher Education Public Institution. For data collection, questionnaires were used to characterize the workers, as well as the Workplace Stress Scale and the Corlett Diagram. The research took place in three stages: first: pre-test with the application of the questionnaires to the subjects; second: Workplace Exercise taking place twice a week, for 15 minutes, during a period of 10 weeks; third: post-test in which the subjects answered the questionnaires again. Objective: to analyze the repercussions of the working day in the life of the nurse. Method: lite... more Objective: to analyze the repercussions of the working day in the life of the nurse. Method: literature review study, conducted through electronic mean in march/april 2011, using the base Virtual Health Library (VHL), which has the following databases: MEDLINE, LILACS, SciELO, among others, in period 1994 to 2009. Results: 29 articles were found and from these 15 publications were selected meeting the inclusion criteria and responding to the objective of the study. It was found that working hours interfered with some aspects of nurses’ lives such as stress, sleep, quality of life, health problems, assistance, recreation and health promotion. Conclusion: the working day has influenced the nurses’ professional and personal lives. This is an important theme to be rethought by employers in order to ensure the workers’ health as well as of those who are being assisted by them. Descriptors: nurses; work hours; work.
