Amitav Ghosh is widely acclaimed for his major novels in which he has expressed his concerns for the downtrodden people of Indian society. In his major novels Amitav Ghosh's sympathetic attitude towards the subaltern can be perceived. The problems of alienation, migration and existential crisis in life of unprivileged class of the society are explored through his fiction. The voice of the subalterns, their struggle and sacrifices which went unnoticed in the annals of the history began to get a prominent voice in the fiction of Amitav Ghosh in a different way. Through his writings he provided subalterns center stage by making them as the pivotal character of his fiction so that they can raise voice against the oppressive forces of their society. My aim in this paper is to analyze Amitav Ghosh's selected novels and to highlight his perspective on subalternity. Ever since the advent of the civilization, the movement of people around international boundaries germinated new notions that vigour new movements and standards into the researches of social sciences and humanities. The historical events like war, colonialism or globalization are now deemed as the major ideological forces that is reshaping international relationships, community relations and the individuals place in them, a plethora of new key words have emerged. As people integrate into new host societies and redefine their identities in alien environments, cultural relativism and acculturation have re-emerged as analytical way of understanding contemporary processes of flows of people across international boundaries. While trans-national movements of people are creating ever more complex relationships, they continue to regroup and converge towards others who share alike terrestrial, physical and spiritual characteristics, reconstructing the circumscribed cultures in which conformist structural-functional investigates placed them. In this sense, it calls for more research and for newer conceptualizations on how migrant groups reform, integrate and renegotiate their communities in new host environments. Displacement has a unique place in the writings of Amitav Ghosh as he himself is no stranger to travel and displacement. Though Ghosh's characters are generally nomadic, wandering from one place to another yet at the core of heart some of them do form diaspora as they are abided by their roots. They as diasporic embodiment develop communities and collective homes at alien place. These communities are ever shifting and mutable with time and place. Displacement is not a recent phenomenon and is not restricted to a matter of concern of today's life only. It transcends time and place and affects the life of individual as well as mass. From time immemorial, displacement has been an undeniable fact that is inevitable due to the contiguous situations of society or

The workplace and the working pattern both are going through continual transformation. To prevail over the challenges of the current scenario the organizations, whether companies or academic institutes, have shifted their working patterns and have embraced 'Remote Work'. Collaborative technologies are at the center of this Trans mutated state. These collaborative technologies help organizations to continue collaborations, in the form of computer-aided, synchronous or asynchronous collaboration and help to create dynamic work environments. Team members share responsibilities as a team for outcomes but accomplish their task in an independent way. They rely on mediated form of communication rather than face-to-face as they are geographically dispersed. The team produce an outcome in the form of shared understanding, strategy planning, evaluation methods, recommendation, decision making, and action plan related to a task or other responsibilities. Despite considerable developments in Information Communication Technology (ICT) over the period, Virtual Collaborative Teams (VCT) still confront multiple interpersonal and communication challenges. VCTs need additional attention from both corporations and academics in order to successfully implement and reap the benefits of their virtual operations.

In  this  article  an  attempt  is  made  to  reconnoiter  the  inquisitive  concern  for  identity  in
AmitavGhosh‟s novels. The identity relates to the various arenas of an individual in the form
of race, culture, class, gender or origin. AmitavGhosh  has projected his characters who are
searching for their identity.Their  concern for  identity  is allied  to diasporic identity, cultural
identity, national identity and subaltern identity, referred as thematic considerations.  They
are not totally independent but the interrelated terms and must be seen in reference to each
other.  These  thematic  considerations  have  been  dealt  in  the  form  of  quest  for  identity,
identity crisis/ transformation and colonial or postcolonial identity in the form of  „self and
other‟.Alienation,  struggle  for  existence,  dilemma  of  dual  identity,  sense  of  belonging  and
nostalgia  are  several  constraints  that  have  been  exemplified  through  the  well-defined
characters of his novels. At the other side, the longing for developing a new and transformed
identity and acceptance of other‟s culture and changing themselves with time and place are
the attributes  reflected by his characters.  This paper is an inquisitive attempt for exploring
the element of Identity that prevails in the novels of Amitav Ghosh.

Abstract:  The  term  identity  is  very  problematic  and  has  varying
degrees of scopes and meanings. The concept of “being” or “becoming”
of identity is a contextual term that is affected by time and space. The
interaction  and  togetherness  of  the  two  places  cultivates  conflict  of
identity in the person. No one can be independent of his/ her identity of
past  or  present.  It  is  the  political,  cultural  and  social  scenario  of  the
place  and  time  which  have  an  impact  upon  the  individual’s  identity.
Thus,  identity  relates  itself  to  the  individual,  social,  cultural  and
    national aspect.
Amitav  Ghosh’s  Sea  of  Poppies  (2008)  re-enacts  the  history  of
indentured  labour,  the  story  of  their  problems  and  position  in  the
society,  their  dislocation,  the  anguish  of  departure  from  their
motherland, and the way they confronted the issues  of identity. Ghosh
in his novel has penetrated the issues of identity  of characters that are
related to their personal, socio-political and national arena. This paper is
an attempt to analyse the elements of diasporic, national, subaltern and
cultural identity that Ghosh has employed in this novel.
