What astounds me about Spy x Family is how well it executes the miscommunication trope. Like, every single part of the premise hinges on every main characters’ secrecy and misunderstanding of each other, and every single chapter continues to play off of this. I’ve always hated the miscommunication trope, but I can’t help but be so entertained by this manga.
Demon Slayer has got to be the most beautifully animated show I’ve ever seen

I also started re-watching Fairy Tail because I never finished the first series but I can’t remember what happened and where I even left off. And at first I wondered if it was even worth continuing the series if I couldn’t remember the plot. A few episodes into it now, and I realize that one does not watch Fairy Tail for the plot; one watches it for the friendships.
oh gosh, juvia is so extra
okay but i really need to know: is it jellal or gerald?
are you well known in your fandom?

Do you guys have recommendations for shonen anime with a good female cast?
In case anyone is following along, I’m 11 episodes into Black Clover and enjoying it immensely
I am surprised that the first time I’ve heard of Black Clover is when I did a google search for “shounen anime with good female cast.” It feels like this is the type of anime that should be doing well on Tumblr? At least on my dash? But none of the ppl I follow have posted about it yet? Must be the lack of pathetic little meows meows, maybe?

For shonen anime with a good female cast I recommend Dorohedoro! It’s my favorite anime. I feel like every character is well-rounded and the friendship between the two main characters (man and woman) is heartwarming. The story is also interesting and it feels well-paced. However, a warning for extreme violence—it’s pretty gory already by the beginning of the first episode.
Thanks for the rec, anon! And thanks for the warning too. I’m keeping away from gore/horror at this time, but once I’m more comfortable watching those again, I’ll definitely look up Dorohedoro!
