doaa is a 38 year old woman with an autistic 5 year old son who escaped the genocide in gaza a few months ago but is now alone in egypt with very few resources. her son already needed special therapy and treatment before, but hes now been traumatized by the war and is suffering extreme shock and trauma. treatment for his trauma and fees for special education in egypt are very expensive, far beyond what she can afford. doaa lost her source of income when her sewing business was destroyed in the war. she is also raising money to get the materials she needs to restart her business here which you also can donate too. she told me that her sons condition is getting worse and its very difficult for her, especially since she separated from all of her family members, most of whom are still in gaza. this is a post with information on her and her sisters campaigns.
shes raising this money to support her sons treatment, as well as to help her family members who are trapped in gaza and living in horrific conditions of famine disease and death. shes extremely worried about them and struggling by herself in egypt.
we’ve heard a lot of news about refugees from gaza being treated badly in egypt and suffering because they had to leave with absolutely nothing. its often the case that refugees and genocide survivors are taken advantage of the most because they dont have any leverage, resources or community to depend on. its a really fucked up situation to be in, and i know that most people on tumblr seeing this would be at a complete loss for what to do if you were in her shoes. its not a position that anyone should have to be in.

The last wound and all wounds no longer affect me. I have become an indifferent man and bear all the disappointments that have passed and will pass. I am a man who accepts everything. I accept death, separation, and sadness with a big heart, and I long to cry over all the memories of the past.. I see my dreams falling and I know what disappointment feels like. I was overcome with sadness, and all I hoped was that I would be okay. I would like to breathe easier and see my prayers answered. I never achieved anything in my life and it was just dreams and illusions. Unfortunately, my dreams and joy are lost and it is impossible to achieve them. I am the one who repeated how to live within the limits of my pain. I have adapted to war, bombing, destruction, separation, all of it. With patience I did it.

Everyone has a superhero. For any girl in the world, her superhero is her father.
He is our hero. He is a doctor. Before this ongoing genocide, he worked at Al-Shifa Hospital. He is a wonderful plastic surgeon, loves his work and is committed to it, to help people and relieve their pain.
When We were forced to be displaced to Al-Shifa Hospital at the beginning of the war, he was still committed to his work. He worked nonstop for 40 days, besides caring for his family, especially in these difficult times!
But unfortunately the occupation stormed and burned the hospital after We were forced to evacuate , raising white flags. We could not carry anything, just our souls. We fled to the south on foot. He carried his two children in his arms, and walked long distances for many kilometers during the afternoon among tanks and heavily armed soldiers, and even among decomposing corpses!
Finally, we reached the UNRWA school at Khan Yunis. He started working in Nasser Hospital, which the occupation also stormed and destroyed! Even when we were displaced, he was working.
All that happened did not stop him from performing his lofty job as a doctor. He has now returned to work in MOH hospitals to carry out operations of debridement and grafting of needy injured people, but he is alone, we are far from him.
He decided to protect us and made a decision to refuge in Egypt to be survived. While he stayed in Rafah before the beginning of the military operation there. Then he was forced to be displaced to Deir Al-Balah.
Every morning he goes to work at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis and returns to his tent in Deir Al- Balah in the evening all week.
Is this what we and he deserve?
We stay away from our hero and torn our family. While at the same time, he is putting himself in danger while saving innocent lives!
For your information, his profession is considered more dangerous than ever before, due to the occupation’s systematic policy of targeting hospitals and medical staff!
All the day, we are worried about him. May Allah save him. Moreover, there is no safe place.
We hope to reunite again, we want each other, we want our home and our dreams!

To avoid fraud, I am talking about people I have actually met and dealt with for years.
Let me introduce to you our great doctor Islam. I know him personally and his wonderful family. We have been neighbors all my life, and he was my family doctor. We also met again in one of the UNRWA schools in Khan Yunis and in Rafah. The doctor is one of the greatest people I have ever seen in my life! How he cares about his family, and committed to his work, and gives everything he can for the sake of both! Above, you will find a very short summary of what Dr. Islam suffered with His family during this genocide, but the greatest pain now is that he is here in Gaza, living in a tent and facing death every day to reach Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis to carry out his noble and humanitarian work, and save many wounded and sick, all of this while he is alone, his family and children are far from him, I know him. I know how much he loves his children, and how much he suffers from their separation now. Help them to reunite the family again! Isn’t this worth it after all the sacrifices and pain?
He has relieved everyone’s pain since the beginning of the war. Is there anyone who relieves his pain now?
He worked in 3 hospitals throughout the war and was forced to leave them at critical times because the occupation stormed them, burned them, and executed their medical staff. He escaped death many times, and despite that, he returns to his work as a doctor so as not to abandon his people at this time. Can we all? Should we not give up on him now?

plenty of Palestinians from Gaza including Bisan Owda have already spoken about this but ICYMI please don’t stop sharing and donating to evacuation campaigns just because the IOF have destroyed boarder crossings and stopped aid. even though they are unable to leave right now, Palestinians in Gaza are still needing and using those funds to buy food and necessities that are price gouged due to limited supply, as well as purchasing e-sims for communication, and raw materials required for rebuilding and providing shelter.
please, don’t ignore these campaigns just because their primary goal is escaping. sharing and donating to these funds still helps Palestinians and their families survive day to day. the 5 dollars you give might not get someone across a boarder but it could help a mother buy baby food, get a family a tent, provide a battery, buy a day’s supply of water, buy material to repair clothes. it still helps. many of the families I’ve spoken with say the price-hiking on resources in Gaza is why they’ve had to change the goal of their campaigns. So, keep sharing, even if you can’t donate, and donate when you can.

This is Hashim and Laila, two Palestinian youths in their thirties living in Gaza. We were hesitant to write on GoFundMe, but unfortunately, we have no other options left. It’s hard to ask for help after having independent lives full of education, work and business..
After 11 months of the ongoing aggression on Gaza, we had a dream that we wanted to fulfill in order to live and survive like everyone else in this world…
We started to think about getting: -

- Seek a residency opportunity to live outside Gaza and start our family with a baby in a safe place
- We seek a scholarship to complete a master’s degree.
- We are looking for job opportunities in order to build a new house because of the massive destruction in Gaza as a result of the Israeli war.
- We seek to move to a healthy and safe place because my wife and I have been exposed to contamination, intestinal infections, skin rashes, jaundice, and infections of the joints, bones, and teeth.
But this destruction has made it impossible for us to get even basic needs like food, water, housing and protection. It is a terrible situation that we cannot even begin to comprehend, and we hope to have the support of donors and contributors in order to support humanity.
